Cassidy Price – Executive Director & Borealis Co Head Teacher
Cassidy grew up in the small village of Waskatenau, AB and moved to Whitehorse in August 2021. She obtained her Early Learning and Child Care Diploma (Level 3) in June 2020 and was running a daycare before she graduated from college. In Cassidy’s spare time she enjoys fishing, hiking, climbing, playing volleyball, and spending time with her dog, cat, and husband.
Eléonore Trancart – Borealis Head Teacher (currently on maternity leave)
Eléonore grew up between Geneva, Switzerland and Chamonix, France before going to Bishop’s University in Quebec where she graduated with a certificate in Psychology. She went on to do her Montessori Early Childhood Diploma in Toronto as well as her toddlers, lower elementary, and upper elementary diplomas online. For the past four years, Eléonore has been teaching in both early childhood and elementarry classrooms. In her spare time, she likes to play board games with her partner, ski, take photographs, and go on walks with her dog. What Eléonore loves most is travelling around the world discovering new places, different cultures, and meeting new people.
Laurence Landry – Borealis French Assistant Teacher
Laurence was born in Montréal in the province of Québec. Her interests always gravitated around linguistics and literature. She shared her time between her classes and her work as private tutor or camp counsellor. Two important jobs which influenced her pedagogical methods, relying on a personal approach with each of her students and the inclusion of games. When she is not in school sharing her love of languages, Laurence enjoys knitting, baking, hosting a french speaking radio show and writing novels.
Amrit Singh – Borealis Co Head Teacher
Amrit and his wife moved to Whitehorse 4 years ago. He finished his Early Learning and
Child Care diploma in 2020 from Yukon University. His educational background from India is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor
of Arts, Masters in History and
Sociology. Amrit has been working with
young children for the last 4 years
and he believes every child is unique in
their own way and can accomplish a lot in a teacher-guided and child- directed environment.
